The FIIAPP is coordinating the organization of the second workshop on remittances, financial education and micro-entrepreneurship, to be held in Goíanía, Brazil on 26th and 27th November.
This workshop is a follow-up to the one held in London in September aimed at members of the Brazilian Association in the United Kingdom (ABRAS) . This activity will provide training to these members’ relatives living in Brazil, as well as to Brazilian immigrants who have returned to the State of Goías, to support the possible implementation of micro-entrepreneurship.
This initiative seeks to strengthen the capacities of civil society (the diaspora and family members), by providing them with the basic inputs, essentially training and financial information, needed for the formulation of local development projects involving the diaspora. It is being carried out within the framework of the “Strengthening dialogue and cooperation between the EU and LAC for the establishment of management models for migration and development policies” project being financed by the EU and implemented by the OIM in close coordination with the FIIAPP.
