Improvement of waste management in Israel

This Twinning project, funded by the European Union and managed by the FIIAPP, seeks to contribute to the protection of human health and the environment in Israel, by improving the management of its waste.

The specific objective of this project is to support the Ministry of Environmental Protection (MoEP) in the development of a comprehensive framework for sustainable waste management. This includes supporting MoEP in the formulation of a global legislative framework for management and improvement of its capabilities in order to strengthen and implement its 2030 management strategy based on the acquired knowledge, experience and best practices of the European Union.

The intention is to contribute to establishing a basis for Israel to bring its legislative and administrative frameworks closer to the regulations and best practices of the European Union.
