The EUROsociAL+ programme participated in a book that was launched in the FIIAPP auditorium, in which experiences are shared from Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia.

On the occasion of the publication of the book Cross-border cooperation for development, FIIAPP headquarters in Madrid hosted a talk in which both the director of FIIAPP, Anna Terrón and the Secretary of State for Territorial Policy of the Government of Spain, Ignacio Sánchez Amor, took part.
The talk dealt with challenges to be met in implementing cross-border cooperation for development and how the situation currently seems to be worsening in border areas.
The book Cross-border cooperation for development contains 16 chapters dealing with topics such as power mechanisms, legal frameworks, the 2030 Agenda, democratic governance and social cohesion. It also discusses regional value chains, post-conflict peace building, hydrography, migrations, gender equality, the LGBT movement, while also offering an academic analysis of the causes and consequences of the implementation of territorial border cooperation policies.
The book is a joint effort by several authors, among whom Barbara Gómez and Juan Manuel Santomé stand out, as experts for the EUROsociAL+ programmeHYPERLINK “https://www.fiiapp.org/proyectos_fiiapp/eurosocial-programa-para-la-cohesion-social-en-america-latina/”, financed by the European Union and managed by FIIAPP. Publication was coordinated by Leticia Bendelac from the University Institute of Development and Cooperation of the Complutense University of Madrid and Martín Guillermo Ramírez from the Association of European Border Regions.
