FIIAPP, along with the country's Social Support Fund, is organising the inauguration of a school in the municipality of Muconda. This is being held as part of a project financed by the European Commission aimed at improving the quality of life of Angolan citizens.
The governor of the province of Lunda Sul, Cândida Narciso, inaugurates a new four-room school in the municipality of Muconda.
Construction of the school was one of the objectives of the Local Development Project in Angola, which was financed by the European Union and jointly managed by the International and Ibero-American Foundation for Administration and Public Policies (FIIAPP) and the Angolan Social Support Fund (FAS).
At the inaugural event, European Union Ambassador Gordon Kricke expressed his satisfaction with the work and stressed that ‘education is a key piece in a country’s development, a process that requires investment in human capital’.
The ambassador is making a tour of the eastern part of the country to observe the progress in the work being done under the framework of the project. This is the first time the European Commission has worked in this zone.
