Taller desarrollado por EUROsociAL en Lima del 1 al 5 de abrilWorkshop help by EUROsociAL in Lima from 1st to 5th April
With the aim of achieving better communication between the State and citizens in tax matters, and to provide future professionals with quality training based on ethics and social responsibility, tax agencies and universities in Brazil, Costa Rica, Chile, Ecuador, Honduras, Mexico, Peru and Paraguay have signed a Letter of Intent for creating a Network of Accounting and Tax Support Centres (NAF).
NAFs are a project devised by the Federal Revenue of Brazil and supported by educational institutions. These centres are already present in 43 Brazilian universities, and new ones have recently been created with the support of EUROsociAL at the University of Costa Rica, the Panamerican University (Guatemala), the University of Fortaleza (Brazil) and the University of Maringá (Brazil).
The initiative was promoted by EUROsociAL within the framework of a workshop held in Lima from 1st to 5th April, in which Brazilian experts from the Secretariat of Federal Revenue and the University of Anhanguera in Rio Gran de do Sul and the Costa Rican Ministry of Finance shared lessons learnt in the creation of NAFs.
The activity was organized by the El Salvadoran Ministry of Finance, a EUROsociAL operational partner, and was supported by the SUNAT. It is part of the working line“Strengthening of tax education programmes in Latin America”, which is being coordinated by the FIIAPP.
