A Costa Rican delegation headed by the country's Deputy Minister of Planning visited Navarre to learn about the system used by the government of this self-governing community to evaluate the quality of its public policies and services.
The Costa Rican delegation was received by the General Director of the Civil Service, Gregorio Eguílaz, and the staff of the Organization and Modernization Service, who showed them the register showing the evaluations the regional government and other public administrations carry out regarding the quality of their policies and services.
The Costa Rican Deputy Minister of Planning, Luis Fallas, was especially interested in this issue and expressed the desire of his government to implement a register similar to the one used by this self-governing community. Lucía Torrejón, from the Ministry of Finance and Public Administrations, also participated in the meeting along with the Costa Rican delegation.
This working visit is part of the European Commission Programme for Social Cohesion in Latin America, EUROsociAL II, and was organized by the Institute of Tax Studies (IEF) of the Spanish Ministry of Finance and Public Administrations and the International and Ibero-American Foundation for Administration and Public Policies (FIIAPP).
