Implementation of the Railway Safety Management System in Egypt

The European Commission is funding this project managed by FIIAPP and aimed at improving railway safety in Egypt in which the ultimate goal is to reduce railway accidents in the country.

The project beneficiary is the ENR, the Egyptian National Railway, and for 24 months it will be working with Spanish experts from ADIF and RENFE, who will provide the Egyptians with proposals, regulatory changes, driver training, signalling improvements, and technology for adapting Egyptian regulations to European standards with the aim of improving the Middle Eastern country's safety management system.
