Improvement and strengthening of the early warning systems in the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and countries of the OAS

This project, funded by the European Union and led by GIZ of Germany, has a dual objective: to improve the detection capacity of early warning systems for natural disasters and security in the member countries of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and the Organization of American States (OAS), and to ensure that they are capable of responding to potential threats.

FIIAPP is collaborating in the project, and one of its principal contributions will be to send an expert on the subject to Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, and Washington to assess the capacities and detection of needs of the beneficiary countries, as well as to implement a training programme for the staff of these organisations working on early warning systems.
