Improvement of the legislative framework for accounting and the auditing profession in Egypt

This FIIAP-led cooperation project will contribute to the reform of the legislative framework for accounting and the auditing profession in Egypt. With the help of experts from Spain's Institute for Tax Studies (IEF) and the participation of the General Intervention Board of the State Administration (IGAE), we will be helping strengthen the institutional capacity of regulators in order to adapt Egyptian regulations to European ones.

For the next two years, this project will enable the entities involved—the Ministry of Finance, the Egyptian Society of Accountants and Auditors and the Syndicate of Commercial Professions—update and modernise the country's legislative framework and strengthen professional capacities.
