AMERIPOL-EU project: fight against drug trafficking

The objective of this project, financed by the European Commission and led by FIIAPP, is to improve international cooperation between the Police Community of the Americas (AMERIPOL) and Latin American judicial and prosecutorial authorities with their counterparts in different EU countries to efficiently fight drug trafficking networks.

In its 60 months of duration, work will be done on improving the capacities of prosecutors, police and judicial authorities to conduct complex investigations at the regional and transregional level; on strengthening information and intelligence exchange at the regional and transregional level, especially with West Africa; on obtaining a complete vision of the situation of organised crime in each country; and on providing training on investigative techniques for police and prosecutors, prevention of money laundering, fighting organised crime; and on techniques for undercover agents.
